Aerial Inspection and 3D Modelling of a Grade I listed building
Example Project:
This wall inspection was carried out to inspect some recent wall capping repair work, on a very unusual Grade I Listed building.
This inspection would have proved prohibitively expensive to perform with traditional scaffolding, difficult to view all the structure from such elevated viewpoints without the scaffolding being in the way, could have damaged to the ground and potentially the listed structure as well as causing an eyesore for visitors to the property, and so was not a realistic option for the client. Using one of our drones provided the client with a cost effective, quick and cheaper alternative, and with high quality unobstructed stills and even a 3D model, a more useful set of outputs that could have been gathered using traditional means.
In addition to the photography, a 3D model was also created and screen shot shown of below. For some other exmples of 3D modelling see Saltford Brass Mill and Blaise Castle Capture, 3D Modelling and Printing.
We later returned to carry out an aerial mapping survey of another part of the area, for an example of a large mapping project see one of our other pages Aerial Mapping and Topographical Survey. Surveys can include land as well as structures.
A 3D model was also created as a byproduct of the inspection work.
